  • Determine rates of improvement and set realistic, yet ambitious, goals—ensuring every learner makes meaningful progress

Whether you're new to DIBELS or looking to sharpen your data-informed instruction, this course gives you the tools and confidence to monitor progress with purpose—and make every data point count.

Course Commitment. 45 hours, self-guided

Access to Self-Guided Coursework. The summer session course begins on July 1, 2026, and all coursework must be completed by October 30, 2026.

  • Modules 1 - 7: Completed through self-guided coursework.
  • Module 8: Live Session (attendance mandatory), October 8, 9am - 3pm EST 
  • Module 9: Completed through self-guided coursework.

Module 2: Using Formative and Summative Assessments for Progress Monitoring

Module 3: Measuring Students' Generalization of Skills with DIBELS 8th

Module 4: Purpose and Benefits of Creating Aimlines and Zones of Growth

Module 5: Interpreting Progress Monitoring Data to Adjust and Drive Instruction

Module 6: Specific Adjustments to Instruction and Next Steps for Formal PM Meetings

Module 7: Live Session, October 8, 2026, 9am - 3pm

Module 8: Final Thoughts and Next Steps 

Graduate Credit (3) is available through Gordon College for an additional fee of $225. Participants enrolled in graduate credit will need to complete one additional assignment outside of required coursework. Partial graduate credits will not be awarded.

Course Duration. 6 months to complete coursework from July 1, 2026 or enrollment date.

Optional Graduate Credit (3) is available through Gordon College for an additional fee of $225. Once you register for the course you will receive instructions on registering for graduate credit.
