This graduate course provides elementary educators supporting students reading at K-2nd grade levels with research-based practices for delivering differentiated, small group structured literacy instruction.
The course embeds pre-planned lessons from the Decoding Duo series that are designed to accompany the Dandelion Launchers decodable books.

Course Outline
Module 1: Introduction to Key Ideas from “The Science of Reading” Research (2 hours self-guided)
Module 2: Effective Components of the ELA Block including Use of Explicit Instruction (2 hours self-guided)
Module 3: Utilizing Data to Plan Targeted Small Group Instruction (2 hours self guided)
Module 4: Delivering Small Group Structured Literacy Routines using Decoding Duos and Dandelion Launchers
Live Session (7 hours) - Choose ONE training from the following dates:
