(PDPs) Dyslexia Instruction That's Targeted - Self Guided

In this essential course, you’ll dive into the science of reading development. Through a focused lens on dyslexia and other reading difficulties, participants will learn to identify the signs early, interpret key assessment data, and implement targeted, effective instruction.

Grounded in the Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) framework, this course provides a step-by-step guide to navigating tiered literacy interventions. You'll gain the skills to:

  • Use screening and diagnostic assessments to guide instruction

  • Familiarize yourself with a graphic  tool for organizing and interpreting student data
  • Define dyslexia and practice identifying students with dyslexia through case studies. 

  • Plan and deliver Tier 2 and 3 interventions that truly move the needle

  • Understand subtypes of dyslexia—including rapid naming, double deficit, and co-occurring working memory weaknesses—and how to tailor instruction accordingly

Course Duration. 15 hours (PDPs) organized into 6 self-guided modules 

Access to Self-Guided Coursework: Begins June 1, 2025 participants can move at their own pace and complete the work in 6 months.   

Course Enrollment Fee: $199

Earning PDPs. Upon completing all coursework you will automatically receive a Professional Development Point certificate for 15 PDPs. 

You will not receive graduate credit for this course.
